Mobile and the Paper Birds
how does mobile achieve the goals of paper birds' theater making and intentions?
- including verbatim interviews: specific sound clips possibly from interviews or voice actors reading, shows real life experiences of people and shares their stories
- realistic while incorporating some interesting movements at times --> when she would open the TV, go to sit down and one of the voice clips would play, be lost in memory (with the projectors), would do almost lyrical movements, unrealistic to regular body movements,
- a realistic portrayal of class mobility: how things change all the time, from generation to generation, focus on family relationships and class mobility
- brought an ordinary space alive to truly make it a theater experience
- interaction with the audience
- a final message that relates to the umbrella theme
- a theater piece that is multimedia + audience interaction/participation
- a unique theater experience that discusses a serious social issue
- a one woman show (showcasing experience of a woman) but also includes other voice parts
